A Realistic Clean With Me 2026 + Productive Day in the Life

Some weeks arrive like a well-organized to-do list…
and some weeks kick the door open, knock over your laundry basket, and whisper, “good luck, babe.” 😅
This was one of those weeks.
But here’s the thing about a daily reset routine—it doesn’t require perfection. It just asks that you show up… even if you’re slightly frazzled, holding pizza dough in one hand and emotional support snacks in the other.
In today’s clean with me 2026 meets productive day in the life, we’re navigating real life: cozy cooking, light cleaning, scattered productivity, and a chicken named Dorothy who decided this week needed a plot twist 🐔
Let’s get into it.
☕ Cozy Kitchen Reset Begins (AKA: The Illusion of Control)
We’re starting in the kitchen… which, at the time, felt like the one area of my life that still had its shoes tied.
There was a vision.
Pizza bombs. Homemade bread. A cute little fizzy drink moment.
Maybe even a soft background soundtrack of “she has her life together.”
And then… cioppino entered the chat 🍲
If you’re unfamiliar, cioppino is this stunning Italian seafood stew that sounds like something you casually master on a Tuesday.
In reality?
It humbled me with the confidence of a seasoned chef and the outcome of a confused intern.
Next time I’d like to use sea scallops instead of the cod. I didn’t like how the cod broke down in the soup. Sooo…
Execution?
Let’s just say… we’re building character 😂
But here’s the quiet truth tucked between flour spills and simmering pots:
Not everything has to turn out perfectly to still be worth doing.
There’s something deeply grounding about cooking. It pulls your brain out of the spiral and puts it into your hands.
Chop, stir, taste, adjust… repeat.
Even when life feels off, the kitchen says, “we can still make something.”
🧼 Light Tidy, Heavy Impact (Main Area Reset Energy)
While the kitchen is doing its thing, I shift into what I lovingly call a “don’t overthink it” reset.
No deep cleaning. No dramatic transformation montage.
Just a quick, intentional tidy.
Because I’ve learned something about myself—and maybe you relate—
when my space looks chaotic, my brain throws a full-blown tantrum.
We’re talking:
- Picking up stray items
- Putting things back where they vaguely belong
- Creating just enough order to breathe again
This is the backbone of a realistic cleaning routine.
Not perfection. Surely not Pinterest. Just a baseline.
And suddenly?
The day feels… possible again.
🐔 Chicken Check-In (When Life Says “Plot Twist”)
Then we head outside to check on the girls.
Usually, this is my favorite part of the day. It’s peaceful, grounding, a little slice of homestead calm.
But this week?
Different energy.
One of my chickens, Dorothy, hasn’t been feeling like herself. And if you’ve ever cared for animals, you know how quickly your priorities rearrange themselves when something’s off.
Suddenly, your carefully planned day becomes… negotiable.
Because this is the reality of a productive day in the life that no one glamorizes enough:
Sometimes productivity looks like pivoting. And caretaking.
🐔 Dorothy’s Story (The Heart Behind the Routine)
Let’s talk about Dorothy 🤍
Because in a blog like this, we get the space to slow down and really say it.
Dorothy hasn’t just been “a little off.” She’s been going through it.
Low energy, not quite herself, and giving us that subtle-but-alarming shift that animal owners recognize instantly.
We took her to the vet, and while we’re still navigating the full picture, what we do know is this:
Her prognosis? The beginnings of a prolapsed vent.
Now, our farm vet is an amazing doctor! She helped us understand that these aren’t always reverseable; but, is totally willing to aid in Dorothy’s hopeful recovery.
She needs extra care. The vet pushed the vent back in.
Extra attention. The vet, she also sewed her vent temporarily to help get Dorothy to relax.
And of course We needed Extra patience. Dorothy now needed to do her part… relax.
And that changes everything.
There’s something incredibly humbling about caring for an animal when they’re not well. It strips your day down to what actually matters.
And it definitely did mine.
Suddenly:
- The messy kitchen? Secondary.
- The half-finished to-do list? Optional.
- The routine? Flexible.
But the love? Non-negotiable.
We’re monitoring her, supporting her, doing everything we can—and taking it one day at a time.
Because sometimes, your daily reset routine isn’t about your house…
…it’s about showing up for something that depends on you.
🧺 Dressing Room Reset (Organized Chaos Era)
Back inside, we shift into the dressing room… aka the land of “how did this get here?”
This part of the day feels a little scattered. A little unfinished. A little “I started this but also five other things.”
And I used to hate this feeling.
Because it didn’t look productive.
But here’s the reframe that changed everything:
Adjusting in real time is productive.
We’re:
- Putting things back
- Letting go of what doesn’t belong
- Creating small pockets of order
It’s not a dramatic before-and-after moment.
It’s a during moment.
And those count too.
💻 Office Reset (Creative Brain Reboot in Progress)
Then we move into the office… where creativity and chaos are in a long-term relationship.
This space?
It reflects my brain on a busy week.
Ideas everywhere. Half-finished projects. That one pile you swear you’ll get to (you won’t… but we love her anyway).
Instead of forcing a full reset, we go gentle:
- Clear a surface
- Re-center the essentials
- Let the rest wait
Because not everything needs to be solved today.
And sometimes the most productive thing you can do is reduce the noise just enough to hear yourself think again.
🪑 DIY Shelf Hack (Using What You Already Have)
At some point, I hit my limit with my desk situation.
Too crowded. Maybe too cluttered. Too “why is everything touching me?” 😅
So instead of spiraling into a full shopping trip or convincing myself I needed an entirely new setup…
I got creative.
Pulled from what I already had. Rearranged. Tested. Adjusted.
And honestly?
These are my favorite solutions.
Because they remind you of something powerful:
You don’t always need more. You need a new perspective on what you already have.
Also… it worked. Which felt like a small but mighty victory 🏆
🍽️ Back to the Kitchen (The “We Lived Here Today” Reset)
By the time we circle back to the kitchen…
It looks like life happened here.
Which, to be fair, it did.
Dishes. Ingredients. A little chaos from earlier attempts (cioppino, we will speak again someday).
But here’s the difference:
This mess doesn’t feel overwhelming.
It feels earned.
So we reset. Again.
- Wipe down surfaces
- Load what we can
- Put things back
Not perfectly. Not obsessively.
Just enough to bring the space back to neutral.
Because a home reset vlog moment isn’t about erasing your day…
…it’s about preparing your space for the next one.
🐓 Checking on the Chickens (Dorothy Update Continues)
We head back outside as the day starts to wind down.
Checking on Dorothy again. Watching. Noticing.
These moments feel slower. Quieter.
There’s no productivity checklist here. No visible “result.”
Just presence.
And sometimes that’s the most important part of a simple living routine.
🌙 End of Day Reflection (Small Wins Count)
By the end of the day, here’s what we didn’t do:
- We didn’t have a perfectly clean house
- We didn’t execute every plan flawlessly
- We didn’t stick to a rigid routine
But here’s what we did do:
- We showed up
- We adapted
- We cared for what mattered
- We reset where we could
And that?
That counts.
More than you think.
🐔 Dorothy Vet Update (What We Know Right Now)
For those of you following Dorothy’s journey 🤍
We did take her back to the vet, and while we’re still navigating the full diagnosis and next steps, we’re actively treating and monitoring her condition.
It’s definitely improving; but we’ve got a little ways to go before we celebrate.
And honestly, she’s kinda enjoying the special attention, I think too!
She’s:
- Being cared for closely
- Getting the attention she needs
- Surrounded by a lot of love (and probably a little over-checking from me 😅)
This part of life isn’t aesthetic.
For sure, it’s not content-friendly. No one wants to read about the neosporin/honey concoction I’m liberally applying to her… um, bottom.
lol – It’s not neat nor tidy.
But it’s real.
And it’s part of the responsibility that comes with building a life that includes animals, routines, and care beyond yourself.
We’re taking it day by day.
And I’ll continue to share updates as we go 🤍
✨ Final (Final) Thoughts: Resetting Without Perfection
Some weeks don’t go the way you planned.
Some days feel like a collection of half-finished moments stitched together with snacks and good intentions.
But here’s your reminder:
A daily reset routine doesn’t require perfection to be powerful.
Whether it’s:
- A quick tidy
- Cooking something (even if it flops)
- Reworking your space
- Or simply showing up again tomorrow
You are still building something.
A rhythm. A life. A home.
And sometimes…
returning to that rhythm, even gently, even imperfectly—
is the most productive thing you can do 🤍
💬 Let’s Talk
Okay be honest…
When your routine gets thrown off, do you:
A) Reset immediately like a queen 👑
B) Wander around confused for 3–5 business days
C) Suddenly start baking something?? 😂

Time to spin up a fresh post… new day, new energy, same slightly chaotic sparkle ✨
We’re clocking in for another clean with me 2026, but this one?
It’s got tools, chickens, bread therapy, and a curtain situation that briefly became a personality trait.
The Reset That Spiraled (In a Good Way) 🧼🌿
A Clean With Me 2026 + Productive Day in the Life (But Make It Realistic)
Some days begin with a plan…
…and some days become a multi-category experience featuring:
- home improvement
- emotional support baking 🍞
- chicken cameos 🐓
- and a “why am I reorganizing this right now?” moment at 2:17 PM
Welcome to a productive day in the life where we lean all the way into a realistic cleaning routine, embrace the pivots, and build a daily reset routine that actually fits real life.
Let’s get into it.
👋 Welcome + Today’s Plan (A Gentle Lie We Tell Ourselves)
You know that moment in the morning where you stand in your kitchen, coffee in hand, and confidently think:
“Today… we’re getting everything done.”
Adorable.
Today’s plan was simple:
- Install the screen door (finally)
- Clean the chicken coop
- Reset a few spaces inside
- Maybe bake bread if we’re feeling ✨grounded✨
What actually happened?
We did all of that… but not in the order, speed, or emotional stability originally imagined 😅
And honestly?
That’s the magic of a home reset vlog kind of day.
It’s not about strict structure. But it is about momentum.
🪟 Screen Door Installation (Character Development Arc)
Let’s talk about the screen door.
This project has been sitting in the “we’ll get to it” category for… long enough that it started judging me.
Today? We rise.
There is something wildly empowering about tackling a home project you’ve been putting off. It starts with hesitation… maybe a quick “do I know what I’m doing?” spiral…
…and then suddenly you’re mid-installation like a DIY warrior princess with a screwdriver and a dream 🔧✨
Was it seamless? No.
Was there a moment where I questioned every life decision? Possibly.
Did we get it done? YES.
And here’s what no one tells you:
Finishing one small project can shift your entire day.
Because now your brain goes, “oh… we’re capable today.”
Dangerous energy. We love her.

🍇 Chicken Cam Grape Break (Because Obviously)
Right when you think you’re on a roll…
you get pulled into the backyard by a flock of tiny dinosaurs demanding snacks.
Chicken cam. Activated. 🎥🐓
Today’s feature: grapes.
If you’ve never watched chickens enthusiastically chase grapes like it’s an Olympic sport, I highly recommend adding that to your personal wellness routine.
Truly, there is NOTHING like it.
This moment?
Completely unproductive.
Deeply necessary.
Because part of a simple living routine—and yes, even a clean with me 2026—is letting yourself pause.
Even if that pause looks like:
“Hold on, I need to emotionally process this chicken eating fruit.”
🐓 Coop Deep Clean + New Product Test (We Mean Business Now)
Alright, playtime is over.
We’re heading into full realistic cleaning routine mode.
The coop needs attention. And not the “quick tidy” kind.
We’re talking:
- old bedding out
- surfaces scrubbed
- fresh setup in
This is one of those tasks that feels overwhelming until you start.
Then suddenly you’re in it. Focused. Efficient. Slightly sweaty. Questioning why you didn’t do this sooner.
We also tested out a new product in the process Grubterra Nesting Herbs
And listen…
When something actually makes a messy job easier? It deserves applause 👏
By the end, the coop felt fresh, the chickens were thriving, and I had that deeply satisfying “we did something real today” feeling.
🏋️ Gym + Storage Refresh (Unexpected Plot Twist)
At some point, the energy shifted again.
Suddenly we’re in the gym/storage area thinking:
“Why does this feel… chaotic?”
And just like that, we’re reorganizing.
This is the sneaky part of a productive day in the life:
You don’t always plan what gets reset… you just follow the friction.
Wherever something feels off?
That’s your next task.
So we:
- rearranged a few things
- cleared out what wasn’t needed
- created a little more breathing room
No dramatic overhaul. Just enough to make the space feel usable again.
And honestly? That’s the goal.
🍞 Bread Baking Therapy Begins (We Enter Our Healing Era)
Now THIS.
This is where the day softens.
After all the fixing, cleaning, lifting, and adjusting…
we bake.
There is something almost poetic about bread-making.
It forces you to slow down.
To measure. Or to wait. To trust the process.
It’s not instant gratification. It’s intentional time.
And in the middle of a busy, slightly chaotic home reset vlog kind of day?
That’s exactly what your nervous system ordered 🍞✨
Kneading dough becomes therapy.
Waiting for it to rise becomes patience practice.
The smell? Immediate serotonin.
10/10 recommend.
🎶 Sheets Day Bedroom Reset Vibes (Main Character Energy)
Then we enter one of the most elite categories of cleaning:
Sheets Day.
Fresh sheets are not just a task.
They are an experience.
We’re talking:
- clean linens
- fluffed pillows
- that crisp, hotel-adjacent feeling
Suddenly your entire bedroom transforms into a sanctuary.
And you?
You’re glowing. Radiant. Emotionally stable (for now).
This is a cornerstone of any realistic cleaning routine.
Because even if the rest of your house is in progress…
your bed can be a reset zone.
And sometimes, that’s enough.
🌱 Keeping Bread Fresh (Eco-Friendly Hack You’ll Actually Use)

Remember our bread from earlier? She’s thriving.
But here’s the thing about homemade bread:
It doesn’t come with preservatives… which means it needs a little extra care.
Enter: eco-friendly storage.
Instead of plastic bags or wasteful options, we’re using a simple, sustainable method to keep things fresh longer👇:
👉 bread storage solution https://amzn.to/3OwL274
Not only does it work…
it aligns with that intentional living vibe we’re leaning into more and more.
Small swaps. Big impact.
📝 Future Project Planning + Inventory Brain Dump
As the day winds down, we hit that reflective phase.
You know the one.
Where you suddenly see:
- what still needs to be done
- what projects are coming up
- what you might want to change next
So we brain dump.
Lists. Notes. Ideas.
This is where the productive day in the life becomes future-focused.
Not overwhelming. Just… aware.
Because having a running list means you don’t have to carry everything in your head.
And that?
That’s a reset all on its own.
✨ Final Thoughts: The Beauty of a Realistic Reset
If you looked at this day from the outside, you might think:
“That was all over the place.”
And you’d be right.
But it was also:
- productive
- intentional
- grounding
- real
This is what a clean with me 2026 actually looks like.
Not perfectly timed segments.
Not flawless execution.
But a rhythm.
A flow.
A willingness to:
start → pause → pivot → continue
And build a daily reset routine that works with your life… not against it.
💬 Let’s Talk
Be honest…
Have you ever:
- Started one task
- Got distracted by another
- Ended up reorganizing something completely random
…and then somehow still had a productive day? 😂
Because SAME.
