🧼 Clean With Me Realistic Reset: Finding Calm When Life Feels Chaotic 🤍
clean with me realistic reset
🌿 When Life Feels… A Little Off
Some weeks just don’t go the way you planned.
Not necessarily bad… not catastrophic… just off.
A little louder.
Sometimes a little more chaotic.
A little harder to move through with your usual rhythm.
And when the energy in your home feels like it’s working against you instead of with you…
it can be really easy to shut down, avoid everything, and say, “I’ll deal with it tomorrow.”
But here’s the thing I’m learning
(and re-learning… and re-learning again):
👉 You don’t need a perfect day to reset your home.
👉 You don’t need perfect conditions to move forward.
Sometimes… you just need to do something.
So today’s clean with me realistic reset is exactly that.
Not perfect. Not aesthetic perfection.
Just real life… and choosing to keep going anyway 🤍
🖥️ A Gentle Start (and a Little Update on Dorothy 🐔)
We’re starting in the office with a simple reset.
Absolutely—here’s your enhanced Dorothy + office reset section with everything woven in, added humor, and a bit more depth on the why behind the space changes. I kept your tone, layered in personality, and made it flow naturally with the existing blog:
🖥️ A Gentle Start (and a Little Update on Dorothy 🐔)
We’re starting in the office with a simple reset.
And today’s reset actually comes with a tiny plot twist…
I’m saying goodbye (for now) to the cutest rug ever.
Listen… she was adorable. She was giving cozy. She was giving Pinterest dreams.
But now that the weather is warming up, this room turns into a full-blown sauna by noon 🥵
And I had to have a very honest conversation with myself like:
“Do you want aesthetic… or do you want to survive?” 😂
So out goes the rug, in comes a cooler, more breathable space.
And honestly, it got me thinking… sometimes resetting a space isn’t about adding more—it’s about removing what no longer works for the season you’re in.
Not just literally… but metaphorically too.
👉 What used to feel cozy can start to feel heavy.
👉 What once worked can suddenly feel… off.
And instead of forcing it, sometimes the reset is simply:
“Yeah… we’re not doing this anymore.”
Minimal effort. Maximum sanity.
And while I’m in here… a little update on Miss Dorothy 🐔
Her vent prolapse is healing… but it’s still visible, so we’re not out of the woods just yet.
And yesterday—because I am, in fact, a full-blown helicopter chicken mom—I decided to give her a bath.
Which… in my mind… was going to be this calm, spa-like, healing experience.
In reality?
She hated it.
Absolutely not a fan. Zero stars.
Would not recommend (according to Dorothy).
And ironically, even though she was much cleaner afterward, it seemed to stress her out enough that the prolapse actually protruded a little more—like maybe an extra 1/8 inch—compared to when she was running around looking like a tiny feathery disaster.
Which is exactly why I nicknamed her Pigpen 😅
So now we’re just keeping a very close eye on her, taking it day by day, and trying not to overdo anything that might stress her out more than help.
And… she has fully moved into the office at night.
I’m not even kidding—she now waits by the door when it’s bedtime like she pays rent here.
It’s giving… queen behavior.
It’s giving… “this is my room now.” 👑
And honestly?
I’m just letting her have it.

So between adjusting the space, managing the temperature, and running what is apparently now a boutique chicken recovery suite…
We’re just doing our best over here.
And again… small wins.
Always the small wins 🤍
We’re not out of the woods, and I’m still keeping a close eye on her, but for now, I’m taking that as a win.
And that’s kind of the theme right now:
✨ Small wins count.
✨ Progress counts.
✨ “Better than yesterday” counts.
🕯️ The Reset Ritual That Fixes Everything (Kind Of 😂)
Next up… vacuuming and lighting a candle.
And listen.
I don’t know who decided that lighting a candle instantly makes you feel like you have your life together… but I would like to personally thank them.
Because it works.
Every. Single. Time.
There is something about:
- clean floors
- a fresh scent
- a tiny flicker of a flame
that just tells your brain:
👉 “Okay… we’re getting back on track.”
Is it a little delusional? Maybe.
Is it effective? Absolutely.
Highly recommend adding this to your clean with me realistic reset routine.
🎙️ Quick Studio Sweep (Because Chaos Loves Corners)
The recording studio is one of those spaces that can spiral quickly if I ignore it.
You know those rooms where you blink and suddenly it’s like:
“Where did all this stuff even come from???”
Yeah. That’s this room.
So today, we’re not doing a deep clean.
We’re just doing a quick sweep, a quick reset, and calling it a win.
Because not every space needs perfection.
Some spaces just need attention.
🥕 The Comeback: My Daily Carrot Juice Era
Okay… this one feels like reconnecting with an old friend.
Fresh carrot juice 🥕
There was a time when I made this every single day for years.
And then one day… I just stopped.
No big reason. No dramatic story. Just… life.
But lately, I’ve been craving it again. And not just the taste… but the routine of it.
I originally learned about this through Charlotte Gerson and the Gerson Therapy, which focuses heavily on fresh, nutrient-dense foods.
Now, I’m not here to preach or convert anyone to anything 😅
But I will say…
There’s something really grounding about making something fresh like this.
It’s simple.
It’s nourishing.
And it feels like you’re doing something genuinely good for your body.
And honestly? We’ll take that win.
🍽️ Clean As You Go (Because Future You Deserves Peace)
Let’s talk about one of the most underrated habits:
👉 Cleaning as you go.
Because nothing—and I mean nothing—is worse than:
finishing cooking… turning around… and seeing a kitchen that looks like it fought you and won 😭
So even on chaotic days, even when the energy feels off, I try to stay on top of this.
Little resets throughout the process = no overwhelming mess at the end.
And that’s really what this whole clean with me realistic reset is about:
✨ Making things easier for yourself later.
🛏️ Fresh Sheets, Fresh Mood
Next up… laundry and swapping the bed sheets.
And if you know, you know.
Fresh sheets are not just a chore… they are a lifestyle upgrade.
There is something about climbing into a freshly made bed that just resets your entire nervous system.
It’s like:
“I may not have everything figured out… but this? This is handled.”
And sometimes, that’s enough.
🐔 Outside with the Girls (My Favorite Reset)
Time to step outside and check on the chickens 🐔
This is hands-down my favorite part of the day.
No matter what’s going on, no matter how chaotic things feel inside…
This brings me back.
They’re not worried about schedules or stress or productivity.
They’re just… existing.
Scratching around. Living their best little chicken lives.
And honestly?
That’s the energy I’m trying to channel.
🛋️ The Couch Cover Trick (Budget-Friendly Magic)
Back inside, we’re swapping out the couch cover.
And can we just talk about how this is the easiest way to feel like you redecorated your entire living room… without actually doing that?

We love a budget-friendly transformation moment 👏
It’s quick. It’s simple. And it makes everything feel fresh again.
🎨 Starting the Front Door Project (Even If We Don’t Finish)
And finally… we’re starting on the front door.
Now, are we finishing it today?
No.
And that’s okay.
Because not every project needs to be completed in one day.
Not every reset needs to be perfect.
Sometimes, progress is just:
👉 Starting the thing
👉 Taking one step
👉 Moving it forward a little bit
And trusting that you’ll come back to it.
🤍 When the Energy Around You Feels Off
Let’s talk about it for a second.
Because this week… the energy in my home hasn’t exactly been calm, quiet, or easy.
And when that happens
—when the stress isn’t even coming from you—
it can be really hard to stay grounded.
But here’s what I’m learning:
👉 You can’t always control the environment.
👉 But you can control how you move within it.
That might look like:
- lighting a candle
- doing a small reset
- stepping outside for fresh air
- focusing on one task at a time
It doesn’t have to be big.
It just has to be enough to bring you back to center.
✨ Final Thoughts: Small Resets Still Matter
This wasn’t a perfect day.
It wasn’t the most productive day.
It wasn’t the most aesthetic day.
But it was real.
And I showed up.
And I moved forward.
And I left things a little better than I found them.
And honestly?
That’s more than enough 🤍

SUMMER NIGHT ROUTINE for a balanced + productive day in the life
🌙 Breaking the Cycle: Why Your Evening Routine Matters
How often do we find ourselves stuck on that hamster wheel… 🐹
day after day, wondering why we’re so tired, so drained, so over it?
And here’s the little truth bomb I’ve been learning lately (with a candle lit for emotional support 🕯️😂):
👉 It’s not always the morning that needs fixing…
👉 it’s the night before.
Because when the evening is chaotic—scrolling, half-cleaning…
doing a million little things but finishing none of them?
Our morning never really gets a fair shot.
We wake up already behind. Already overwhelmed.
Already negotiating with ourselves like, “I’ll try again tomorrow.”
And then… we repeat the cycle.
✨ Exhaustion: the sequel ✨
So lately, I’ve been leaning into a simple evening routine that actually works for me.
And yes… I know… I go to bed ridiculously early 😂
Like, the sun is still out and I’m already mentally clocking out for the day.
But even if you take just a few of these habits and shift them into your own evening?
You’ll feel the difference.
We’re talking simple things:
- a quick tidy
- resetting one space
- dim lighting, cozy vibes
- doing literally anything besides doom-scrolling into oblivion
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be intentional.
And if you want to make it feel a little more fun (because we’re not suffering through routines over here 😅), I’ve linked my favorite cozy home finds and reset essentials over on my Amazon storefront and during my weekly lives 🛍️✨
Because when your evening has even a little structure…
your morning feels less chaotic… and a lot more doable.
And honestly? That changes everything 🤍
💄🎙️ Bringing It All Together: Closet Chaos, Office Resets & Chicken Therapy
And just like that… we roll right from our routines into the real-life application of it all—because what is a clean with me realistic reset if not putting those little habits into motion across the house? 😅
This is where things get… layered.
We started with intention.
We talked about managing energy, stress, and routines.
And now? We’re living it out in real time—one slightly chaotic room at a time 💪
Today’s mission looked simple:
a quick reset of the closet and recording space…
But of course… it turned into a full-blown “why do I own this?” moment in the office 😂
You know the drill.
One drawer turns into five.
One “I’ll just tidy this” turns into a full identity crisis over expired pens and mystery cords.
And honestly? That’s part of the process.
Because a clean with me realistic reset isn’t about perfectly executed systems…
it’s about noticing when something isn’t working anymore—and having the courage (and energy) to do something about it.
Even if it’s messy.
Even if it’s unexpected.
Even if it involves aggressively tossing things while muttering,
“Why did I keep this?” 😅
There’s also something deeper here that connects back to everything we’ve been talking about…
Creating spaces that actually support your life.
Not just what looks good.
Not just what used to work.
But what works right now.
Like having a designated area where I can get ready without launching a cloud of dry shampoo into the entire household 🌪️💄
Small win. Big peace.

It just makes sense. Less clutter… more clarity. (See? We’re on theme 😌)
From there, the day just keeps flowing in that same imperfect rhythm we’ve been leaning into all along:
A little backyard progress 🌱
A little kitchen chaos turned into something edible 🍫
A little “clean as we go” energy that may or may not fully stick 😂
It’s not polished. It’s not perfectly planned.
But it’s real.
And of course… we end where we so often do lately:
🐔 Back to the Chicken Mojo Dojo Casa House
Because this space? This routine? This little pocket of responsibility and joy?
It’s become part of the rhythm that keeps everything else grounded.
The more consistently I show up out here—even just a little extra during the week—the easier it is to maintain.
And honestly… that’s the whole lesson of this entire post, isn’t it?
👉 Small, consistent effort
👉 Thoughtful resets
👉 Letting go of what’s not working
Whether that’s in your home… your routine… or your expectations.
And yes… the chickens are still judging me while I clean.
That has not changed. 🐔👀
But they’re happy. The space is cleaner.
And I’m ending the day feeling like I showed up where it mattered.
📊 Before you go, I have to know:
1️⃣ Already living your best chicken parent life
2️⃣ Thinking about it (you’re so close, I can feel it 😂)
3️⃣ Absolutely not, but here for the chaos
Because whether you came for the cleaning motivation, stayed for the chickens, or just needed a reminder that a clean with me realistic reset doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful…
