Whassup with your eBay, Pumpkin?

Whassup with your eBay, Pumpkin?

Today’s the day we go through the eBay inventory and then I think we’ll bake a pumpkin roll! I know, I know. Pumpkin Spice E’rything is so last year, Halloween’s done past, and even November’s dust can’t even be seen anymore.

But, that doesn’t mean we stop using pumpkins… wait. Do we?

Well, I’ve never really run with the pack anyway.

And…

I have so much of it still in the freezer to use up. Nobody told me I could use it during “Fall Yall” only!

Not listening.

SMH. Err, nope.

Hmm.. Okay. So here’s what we’re gonna do. I’ma just NOT CARE about the social, secular seasons schedule, that I’m clearly not in alignment with anyway. And you know what?

I’m going to do my version of a mash up.

You never think I’m making sense, Bianca. Shut it.

What if I made this thing last year, and off-loaded the inventory a few months back.. then compile all these clips together in one video. Like it’s happening right now?

Yay! Okay! Let’s just get into it.

Todays the day!

I’m cleaning up the inventory in my resell shops. AND… I’m taking on the project of baking a pumpkin roll.

Yes. I’m feelin’ very fancy with this dessert attempt.

Because, you know… dessert.

I know.

Ever discover how many distraction arise in the “home office?”

I know. But, high hopes, y’all. *shrugs

We’re all well-aware that it’s not NEARLY the same type of distractions you’d find in that fancy corporate space. And frankly, there’s a kind of both: that UNIQUE & FUN approach in a killer home space!

Am I right!

Oftentimes though, it can add to that additional dynamic of distraction-jackson-randomness that makes me cranky.

On the rare occassions I do get cranky, I mean… lol

But, don’t worry, friends and fam…

This entry, I promise not to ramble on again about the throes of woes in the home office work place disaster that I call my productive slay space.

Okay. Got me there. I’ve gotta fill the space somehow…

That disclaimer being said… albeit, flippantly.

I’m going to just touch on this one thing.

I have many random things that go on in my work space.

I’m NOT. Relax. I did that in the last post.

Anywayyyy…

One area being the online shops. And not the ecommerce shop one on this website. But, the other ones. Like Etsy, Ebay, Poshmark, Vestaire, and a couple others that escape my mind at the moment.

One could say that managing all these shops are far too time-consuming, I’m doing too much, I’m spread too thin.

Yadah, yadah, yadah…

But, once you’ve managed your own ecommerce, music business royalties, book biz stuff, and (now, I’m learning about Subscriptions for Authors – more on that in another post once I get a handle on it), you realize that while it would be great to hire someone to handle ALL THE THINGS.

Sometimes that’s just not feasible.

Wait a minute. Sidebar: I’ve seen too many cautionary tales of allowing OTHERS to handle said cautionary tales’ moula. Remember M.C. Hammer? Hallie Berry? Oh! Yes, Wesley Snipes… gosh, that list can go on and on!

You get the picture.

Anyway, now that we’ve finished the mini lesson on the ‘handle yo business’ & also the ‘don’t let it handle you’ tip. Let’s move onto the real topic of today’s post.

Every now and then, it is imperative that you go thru the trying task of getting rid of stuff in your shops inventory. Now, I have my own physical and digi-products. But, I also resell items that are gently loved, in need of love, or in this case, a rather oversized collection of porcelain dolls inherited from my grandmother’s estate.

If you think about it, this is what brick and mortar stores have been doing seasonally for years!

It’s probably more common sense than anything else. You can’t keep everything. You can’t sell everything.

(You hope you sell everything; but, that’s not realistic)

So, you sell what you can. You move your product. Shuffle it around. Making their listing look a little shinier for the product that makes the cut. And finding the product that was cut loose and transported to its sad little donation box.

Don’t worry. No eulogy necessary. But, a heartfelt “thanks” or “gratitude” a la Marie Kondo works, if you truly MUST.

Although, just had a thought, big box stores are putting out next season’s junk, clearance-ing out the current season that isn’t even halfway through yet, and just consumerism-ing us to death.

Sooo… there is that.

I digress. *sigh* Yup.

Oh that also reminds me that I have a shipment coming in for some new journaling & planning supplies for February! Yes.. you already know that means Valentine’s Day themes, pinks, reds, hearts, yuppers. All the sweetheart things!

I know, I know. I ain’t mad at it though. I don’t go on shopping benders.

Not anymore. *haha

Oh! Oops. *kicks it behind the door to hide the evidence*

Just ignore that. It’s probably the dog food.

Dammit.

Fine. I confess! I love to shop! I admit it!

Just playing. I do still enjoy a love bomb, shop-a-thon from time to time. Which reminds me, I need a new yoga mat. Mine’s is so thin and I want one of those darn super plush, squishy fat ones!

Oh, which reminds me. I do need a new pair of jeans. Did do a little perusing on Stagmi’s website. They’re the best jeans ever! At least for us curvy girls. They’re a Columbian jeans company and they’re fun, and fit amazing!!(Not a sponsored mention for this brand. It’s just literally my go-to brand.)

Otherwise, denim just slides off me, is too snug on my legs, or too loose on my waist. The whole thing is just a mess.

Right. Okay. Sorry. I’m way off the beaten path now.

Where was I?

Oh yes! Thank you, inner voice!

Okie dokie then… I needed to really thin the herd of these dolls. So, one by one, I research them, looking for their closest match to price properly. I list them circa: Satisfying (REALISTIC) Shed Declutter | Spring Summer Series. I let them sit in their page listing for about eight weeks or so (gotta have a time limit or I will never move them to a happy home), and then I’d push the unselling product out, and repeat the process all over again. Bringing the new product in.

Or if best case scenario were to have occurred, sending off the sold items, carefully and thoughtfully wrapped to perfection to their new owners.

Wash and Repeat.

Nearly two years later, I’ve sold most of them and only a few stand by for the listing game. They’re in their own groups of special and will need individual attention. But, I can finally get a little checkmark next to this task that was driving me nutso!

Ignoring you, Bianca.

And that’s what I’m most proud of this week!

Actually, now that I thinka bout it, I have two accomplishments I’m really proud of this week.

The rough draft has been sent off to my editors this week! Woohoo! I’ll be working on the last few chapters concurrently, wrapping up the book and sending in the last chapters to the editing group as they take the next month to help this book get finished. I am so grateful to you all! So, shout out! Wahoo! We are right on schedule!

Did my inner voice just say something nice?

You know what. I’ll take it. No questions asked!

So, tackling an area that was nagging me every day.

Daily, I’d see this messy pile and feel anxious, overwhelmed, and even annoyed by it. I knew I had to get it done but I really needed to address the mental anguish it was causing me.

Stay Calm and Get Organized

Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

FUNNY.

So, we got things handled in the online shops area of my slammin’ productive office bizzery and now it was time to get in some

When’s the last time you saw a recipe that you said, “Whoa. I’m so making that!”

Well, for me, it was this amazing recipe from Woman’s Day Magazine for a Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling! All home made. All with organic, clean, and even a homegrown pumpkin that I turned into a puree!

OMGosh. I know right.

So very Martha Stewart. Or Julia Childs? Whoever. You get where I’m going with this. Just go watch the video.

So, what did you think? Are you inspired to get that spot checked and decluttered today? Are you going to give that new recipe a go that you’ve been dying to try?

Let Me Know!Leave a comment!

Oh! And here’s the recipe card!
